Annually on Good Friday, a collection is taken up to support The Holy Land. In the words of Paul V it is “not only for the Holy Places but above all for those pastoral, charitable, educational, and social works which the Church supports in the Holy Land for the welfare of their Christian brethren and of the local communities.”
Though St. John’s does not physically take up offertory collections at this time due to COVID 19, we still invite you to join in this annual collection. There is an envelope in the collection packets or you may put cash or a check in an envelope and mark it “Holy Land”. You may also drop cash in one of the offertory boxes in church on Friday. All funds collected during the Good Friday Service will go to support the Holy Land. Thank you for your generosity and support.
